Join Jason Bing and the Ann Arbor District Library staff in Recycle Ann Arbor's Environmental House (2420 South Industrial Highway, Ann Arbor) to learn about utilizing solar power in Michigan. After a brief discussion on solar power in Michigan, participants will be involved in a hands-on workshop outlining the process to fabricate a solar oven at home using everyday materials and discards. This low/no cost finished product will allow users to bake everything from fresh bread to tasty cookies by harnessing the power of the sun.
There is no charge for this workshop and supplies are provided. Reservations are welcomed but not required. Call (734) 662-6288 for more information.
The Environmental
House strives to increase consumer awareness of, and improve standards
and practices related to indoor air quality, effective energy use, and
resource conservation in new and existing buildings.
